STRP Festival moved from May to November |

|
Eindhoven – The fourth technology and art festival STRP will take place in November this year instead of the usual May. This 10-day event takes place in Strijp and involves concerts, theatre performances, films, an exposition of robotics, interactive art, workshops and more.
A major part of the event’s success is due to the presence of major music acts such as The Chemical brothers, provided for by concert organisers, Mojo. However this year Mojo say they will not be able to support the festival unless it takes place in the autumn. STRP’s sponsors in local government, the B&W College, feel that cultural events such as this will get less attention in the autumn.
The STRP Foundation was created in order to continue the tradition started by Philips of creating a nurturing environment for creative talent. Housed in the Klokhuis, it forms part of the old Philips industrial estate known as ‘Strijp-S’, now designated as the new centre for creative social enterprises in Eindhoven.
The STRP Festival attracts over 20,000 visitors and will take place between 18 and 28 of November 2010. More information can be found on www.strp.nl
